We are pleased to introduce Dr. Tim Gintz, a highly respected veterinarian with more than 35 years of clinical experience.
Dr. Gintz brings extensive expertise in both orthopedic and soft tissue surgery.
Over the course of his career, he:
- Grew his two-doctor clinic into a 15-doctor, 24-hour hospital
- Served as Area Medical Director for VCA (2000-2021), supporting medical quality and growth across 18 hospitals in WA and ID
- Served on the Washington State Board of Governors (2006-2010) and as Chair (2010-2011)
- Served on the Tacoma Humane Society Board (2018-2021)
Dr. Gintz has completed 1,000 successful TPLO procedures, repaired thousands of fractures, and maintains strong interests in thoracic, abdominal, and cancer surgery. He has trained extensively with both local and national surgical specialists throughout his career.
When he's not in the clinic, you'll find him hiking and fishing with his two dogs, woodworking, or spending time with his family.
